The story outlined in The VI Hours is based on historical events of the first century, and contains both historical figures and fictional characters. The 'VI' in the title of this book is the Roman number '6'. This refers to the six hours of Jesus' crucifixion. Join Anthony as he experiences what it might have been like to be crucified with Jesus, and learn how our character can be changed through that process, to be more like Jesus' character.

This book can help people who have physical, mental or emotional pain, and all of us do at different times in our lives. As the Apostles teach, by sharing in the sufferings of Jesus, we can also share in His victory!

Something very special happened in the first century that had never happened before or since! God became a human being, and lived here on earth for about 33 years, and built personal relationships with His family, friends and followers. The transforming power of these relationships, created an overwhelming display of unselfish love in hundreds of thousands of lives. Heaven had visited earth, and Jesus' followers had an experience of love, forgiveness, and fellowship with God and with each other, which changed the world!

All of the ideas presented in this book are based on the experiences and writings of the Christians in the first century. Their characters had been dramatically changed to be like Jesus' character, and if we follow the Apostle’s teachings God can change our characters as well. We can then have the same commitment, and the same ‘first love’ of the Christians who met God face-to-face, and experienced His presence and love personally in their lives!
