Brief Quotes From Articles In Volume 11
Changed By The Face Of Jesus
The Bible says there was nothing about His physical appearance to draw people to Him. So, if it wasn’t His handsomeness that drew people – crowds of people – what was it? The miracles? The healing? The surprising new words He spoke? The flipping of the tables in the Temple? Maybe. But perhaps there was also something about His face.

One Person
God is interested in each individual person, because we are all unique and individually made by God for a specific purpose. Whereas the world is not interested in the individual, they’re interested in one world and one global person where we are all the same. Modern day China is an example of this… the one world, one person concept.

The family is God’s personal ‘classroom’ for each person in the family, and it must be protected. We should all remain part of this learning experience for as long as we live. In this way we can continue to grow in God’s love for our family, our extended families, and for others. As a result, we can mature spiritually in this God-designed environment to teach, inspire and care for the next generation.

The 'Silent' Heart
God’s Word is essential to help us recognize and avoid creating a ‘silent’ heart inside us. His Word is light and truth, and it can restore a silent heart back to life! However, many of us today are still walking around oblivious to the ‘warning’ signs right in front of us. Perhaps we see them, but shrug them off. We’re walking on a highwire, but we think we’re actually on solid ground.

Obedience - Can Be An Act Of Love
The Apostles say for us to have a love relationship with God it is not just receiving God’s love, but also giving our love and obedience in return. Just like a two-way street. The Apostles describe themselves as servants and even slaves of the Lord Jesus. Of course, this goes right against the selfish, proud and rebellious nature we are all born with. It’s only when we step into the role of the servant, that we find freedom.

Meet The Authors
Philip Legge moved to Waterloo County
in 1979, and worked on farms for three years
as a young man until 1982. This is where he met
his wife Mary. He was drawn to this area because of the Anabaptist belief in the Scriptures, and in their belief about Godly marriage and family, and also non-resistance. All of Philip’s writings have
developed out of that background, which is why they
did home-schooling, and started their own family business so they could live, work and learn together!
